Many Memories and Experiencesたくさんの思い出と経験I have many wonderful memories of this trip. It was a very good experience for me.is was my third trip overseas as a high school student, 　今回の語学研修で、私は沢山の忘れることのできない思い出を得ることができ、私にとってとても良い経験になりました。　私は高校で三度海外に行ったことがありましたが、アジアか２年SZ組　鵜浦　有吾Yugo Unoura : StudentMY NAMEMY NAMEI never imagined that there is a food in this world that has the same name as me. For our first dinner together, my host mother cooked Filipino food. It was my first time to try this kind of food, so I did not know what to expect. It looked like some kind of noodle soup. It tasted so good that I was able to relax somewhat. Then she said, “Miki is eating Miki!”, and everyone burst into laughter. At rst, I did not know what she meant, but then I learned that the noodles in the soup are called “Miki” in the language of the Philippines. is coincidence was the start of my stay in Australia. Everyone in my host family was so kind. My host father was always telling jokes, and my host sisters were so good at dancing. ey did back ips and told me to try. We had fun watching comedies together and playing hide-and-seek. My host mother set aside a time for just the two of us to talk, so I did not have any problems or worries during the time I was there. ey loved parties, and brought me to many. I met a dog at a party on the last weekend. He was a friendly dog and did not bark at me. His name was Miki too. is was the second coincidence during my stay. I have never been so grateful for my name. Any desire to have a cooler name disappeared. My mother chose this name because it is easy to write on a passport and easy to pronounce. anks, mom.I did many other fun things during my stay like going to the beach, going to a chocolate factory, and shopping. The two days with my host buddy and the tornado are also good memories. When a little girl in my host family told me, “I’m going to go to Japan to see you”, I was so happy that I almost cried. I want to study English more and go there again.　この世に自分と同じ名前の食べ物があるなんて予想もしなかった。最初のディナーはホストマザーのサリーが作ってくれたフィリピン料理。初めて食べるので、正直どんなものかピンと来なかった。見た目はスープパスタみたいな麺料理。彼女の料理はとてもおいしくて、少し緊張していた私を和ませてくれた。そんな時「みきがミキ食べているよー！」とホストファミリー達は爆笑。最初はよく分からなかったが、聞くとその料理に使われていた生麺をフィリピン語でMikiと言うらしい。そんな未知との遭遇が私のオーストラリア研修の幕開けとなった。　ホストファミリーはとても優しい人たちだった。ジョークばっかり話すホストファザーと、ダンスが上手すぎる姉妹。バク転まで出来て、「やってみて！」と言われた時は焦った。一緒にコメディーを見たり、かくれんぼしたり楽しいことばかりだった。そしてサリーが２人だけで話す時間を作ってくれたおかげで、不安や心配なことはなく、２週間を過ごすことができた。パーティーが大好きな家族で、たくさん連れて行ってもらった。最後の週末のパーティーで出会った、ある一匹の犬。人懐こい犬で吠えることもなく迎えてくれた。そんな彼の名前もMiki。もうすぐ帰るという時に２回目の遭遇。自分の名前にこれほど感謝したことはない。もっとお洒落な名前が良かったなー、なんていう考えはどこかへ消えてしまった。パスポートに書きやすくて、発音しやすいか考えて名付けたと言っていたお母さん、ありがとう。　ビーチやチョコレート工場、ショッピングなど楽しかったことはまだまだたくさんある。　２日しか会わなかったバディもトルネード襲来もいい思い出だ。小さな女の子に「あなたに会いに日本にいくからね」なんて言われたときは嬉しすぎて涙がでそうだった。　もっと英語を勉強して、また行きたいと思う。２年SZ組　大町　美貴Miki Omachi : Studentグローバルリーダー育成研修EXCELSIOR vol.18106
