Heathfield High School were very useful for the students. In addition to regular classes such as language classes and history, we were able to experience new things by going to a museum and learning about aborigines, and by going to a zoo and interacting with the animals. I experienced many things on this trip, and had a great time with my host family and students in Australia. Having fun is the most important thing. At first, you might not want to go to another country, but when you actually go there you won’t want to come back. I had a great 10 days there!てきてくれたおかげで語学研修はとても充実したものになった。私が行ったヒースフィールド高校での授業は自分のためになるものばかりだった。語学の授業や歴史の授業など普通のものもあったが、博物館に行きアボリジニの事について学んだり、動物園に行き動物と触れ合ったり、新しい体験をすることができた。　いろいろな体験をした語学研修であったが、ホストファミリーとの生活や、オーストラリアの高校での学校生活すべて自分の身になるものであった。しかし、なにより楽しかったというのが一番であった。最初は嫌だと誰でも思うだろう。だが、実際に行ってみると、帰りたくなくなってしまう。この語学研修はすべてが自分の身になるものであったと思う。とても内容の濃い10日間だった。Reports by Students of the Global Leader Training TripWhat I Learned in Australiaオーストラリアで学んだことis was my rst trip overseas. I was very worried on the day I left. It was an 8-hour ight from Narita to Cairns, and 3 more hours from there to Adelaide. When we got o the plane, everything looked so dierent.I tried really hard to follow what my host family said to me, but I couldn’t even catch when one word ended and the next began. However, my host family spoke slowly and in easy English for me, so I was able to understand them. Even so, I was annoyed at myself, because I could only answer “yes” or “no”. e food was very dierent from in Japan. I realized that Japanese meals are very well-balanced. After dinner, I spent a lot of time watching TV and talking with my family. ey valued family time more than people do in Japan. We laughed at the same things, so I was able to relax.At school, I cooked, did chemistry experiments, made boomerangs, and participated in a sports festival. e school had excellent facilities, and the students learned by doing. All of the teachers and students were very kind and cheerful.I am interested in architecture, and in Melbourne I saw many magnificent buildings. I noticed differences in the structure of the buildings there and in Japan. is will be of use to me in my future. I was painfully aware, on this trip, of my poor speaking 　今回のグローバルリーダー育成研修で私は初めて外国に行きました。当日になるまでは、期待より不安のほうが大きかったです。成田空港から約8時間のフライトの後、ケアンズで乗り換え約3時間のフライトで着いたアデレードには私が今まで見たこともない光景がたくさんありました。　ホストファミリーとの共同生活では、会話に必死についていこうと耳を立てるものの、単語の切れ目すら分からないことが多々ありました。そんな私にホストファミリーは簡単な単語でゆっくりと話してくださったので理解することができました。しかし、受け答えにYES,NOとしか答えられない自分にじれったい気持ちになりました。食事では異なる食文化に触れることができました。あらためて日本食のバランスの良さを感じました。食後は長い間家族とテレビを見たり、会話を楽しみました。日本よりも家族と過ごす時間を大切にしていました。笑いのツボは万国共通だったので、気楽に過ごせました。　学校ではクッキングや化学の実験、ブーメランづくりや体育祭のような事をしました。学校の設備が整っていて、実際にやって学ぶ学習方針なのだと感じました。先生方や生徒の皆さんはとても親切で明るかったです。　メルボルン市内観光では私は建築系に興味があるので、たくさんの美しくて壮大なデザインの建物を見てきました。日本と構造が違う個所を発見できました。将来につながる良い機会でした。２年Z2組　谷村　和泉Izumi Tanimura : StudentEXCELSIOR vol.18109
