News&Topics2016引率教員　本間　崇朗Takaaki Homma : TeacherReport on the Model 10th All-Japan High School Model United Nations平成28年度全日本高校模擬国連大会参加報告11/12 13模擬国連の可能性第10回、初応募、初出場の勝負に挑むChuo Students Participate in Model United NationsReport on the 10th All-Japan High School Model United Nations２年SZ組　内野澤　安紀Yasunori Uchinosawa : Student　今回で10回目の開催となった全日本高校生模擬国連に本校から２名が参加した。９月に書類選考課題を提出し、初応募で初出場することができた。大会では、深い社会認識による分析に裏打ちされた自国の立場を、流暢な英語で主張し、さらに会議をリードする行動力をも持ち合わせた高校生に囲まれながらも、自国の利益に通じる決議内容にしようと会場を駆け回り、交渉に励む本校生徒を目にし、たくましく感じたところであった。　また、単に英語を話すことだけが目的とならず、英語を話すことができる日本人が、どういった問題意識を持ち、どういった舞台で、どういった使命感のもとに、どう行動するのかを考え、経験する場として、模擬国連の可能性を感じたところでもあった。Two students from Morioka Chuo High School participated in the 10th All-Japan Model United Nations for high school students. It was the rst time Chuo students participated in this event. They were surrounded by high school students who had analyzed the situation from the perspective of their country, were able to talk in uent English, and had the ability to lead the conference; but I was proud of the students from our school as they ran around the venue trying to gather support for their proposals and negotiating.The goal of the event was not just to have students speak English. Rather, it was to give students a chance to think about problems, to think about what action to take and in what situation, to feel a sense of purpose, and to gain experience. I felt that the model United Nations has many possibilities.　私たちは大会の前日の夕方に東京に到着した。宿泊地は「ホテル グランドアーク半蔵門」というところだった。半蔵門駅から歩いてすぐ。交通の便は最高であった。余談であるが、ホテルの隣には皇居が堂々We arrived in Tokyo the night before the event. Our hotel was next to the Imperial Palace, and was near a cemetery for people who died in the war, Yasukuni Shrine, and the Supreme Court. It was hard for me to EXCELSIOR vol.18144
