ました。フォーラムには、フランス、アルゼンチン、ロシア、ニュージーランド、セネガル、台湾、タイ、インドネシア、マレーシア、日本など多数の国が参加していました。たくさんの国の人と出会い、新しい文化や異文化を経験することが出来ました。　私たちの国の文化と同じような国もあれば、まったく異なる国の文化もありました。例えば、日本のホームルームは異様に静かだと感じましたが、日本ではごく普通のことです。参加した多くの生徒は、日本人の生徒の礼儀やマナーの良さに驚きました。異文化を尊重し学びながら、私たちの文化の良い点も紹介しました。今回、自国の文化の価値を持ちつつも、他の文化を理解していくことを学びました。　他にも例を挙げると、日常生活においても、私の家とホストファミリーの家において、家具の配置や、食器、マナーないろいろと違いがありました。私の家のマナーに比べ、日本の食事についてのマナーは少し複雑に感じました。例えば、家で使う食器の配置についてなどです。　日本の生徒さんと、私たち姉妹校の生徒とのコミュニケーションに壁があったように思います。フォーラムへのアイディアを説明する際に、いろいろな方法を駆使しました。この経験からも、自分の考えを発表するときの、コミュニケーションのコツを学びました。　最後に、このフォーラムは素晴らしい経験となり、マレーシアの文化に感謝する機会になりました。私自身も成長し、より積極的になったように思います。フォーラムに参加させていただいたことに感謝し、将来このようなイベントがあれば参加していきたいと思っています。view to the world. This forum consisted of participants from France, Argentina, Russia, New Zealand, Senegal, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Japan. The wide variety of countries exposed me to new cultural experience and dierences.e cultures of some countries were similar while some were vastly opposite. For instance, the Japanese homeroom time was strangely silent to us while that it’s normal to the Japanese students. Most other countries were also shocked by Japanese politeness and manners. However, we learnt their culture of respect while we also taught the good points of our culture. is had taught me how to accept other's cultures with understanding while keeping to my own values.Furthermore to differences, the everyday life habits of my host family is a slightly different from my family in terms of arrangement of furniture, dishes, manners, etc. In general, their eating manners and rules are slightly more complex compared to my family as they have a specic way of arranging their home dishes.Besides that, there was communication barrier between the Japanese and most of the countries. erefore, we used all means to explain our plans for the forum. I learnt how to communicate successfully to express my thoughts.In conclusion, this forum was a great experience and made me appreciate my culture. I feel that my character had developed and became more outspoken. I'm really thankful to have the opportunity to participate in this forum and would love to join more of this kind of activity in the future.　第18回CHUO国際教育フォーラムでの経験は一生忘れることがないでしょう。飛行機を降りた時から、日本独特の文化に魅了させられました。日本語、おいしい食事、茶道などの様々な日本の伝統を本当に楽しみました。最も一生に残ったことは世界中のすばらしいみんなと出会ったことです。出会った友達に連絡をとり、いつかまた会えることを期待しています。持続可能な社会のために、様々な意見を持つ若い人々と議論できたことは、たいへん意味のあることです。そして、私のホストファミリーにたくさんの感謝の気持ちを伝えたいです。８日間の滞在中たいへん親切で、優しく面倒を見てくださいました。感謝の言葉も見当My experience with the 18th Chuo International Education Forum has been one that I will never forget. I was captivated by Japan’s unique culture from the minute I stepped o the plane. I now hold so much appreciation for the language, delicious food and the many Japanese traditions such as the tea ceremony, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The highlight of this experience would have to have been meeting so many inspiring students from all over the world, whom I now have the privilege to call my friends and hope to see them all again someday.
