Students made a good representation of how to make Takoyakis. Many thanks for the recipe we got! I learned that the ingredients must be stirred well and carefully. I think the frying of takoyakis might be the most difficult part of making them. Our teachers, the students, rolled them over in that specic pan quickly and softly so that the balls looked still nice and smooth. When we tried to to do it the balls broke apart. ey didn’t look so round. But in good hands we learned to do it. Inside the takoyaki there was octopus and cheese. To me octopus is a very exotic ingredient. In Finland I hardly ever use it. Maybe I could buy it in Helsinki from the Japanese styled shop called Luca? In the end I didn’t buy bonito akes even though I planned to do so in Morioka. at was because of my extremely full luggage. I liked Takoyakis so much I tried to make them at home. I had to adapt a bit. But the result was great! I’m going to make them again and I’ll try dierent llings instead of octopus. And this time maybe I put cold smoked salmon and cheese in it. Yamm, Japanese food is delicious!
