私がフォーラムで果たした役割Reports by Students of the Forum Committee“盛岡中央だからこそ”の意味A special event of Morioka Chuo’s３年SZ組　フォーラム実行委員本多　麻鈴Marin Honda :Student Forum CommitteeI remember, earlier this year, when it was time for the forum again. I looked forward to this event, as a member of the forum committee, and felt that a special event of Morioka Chuo’s. I was the leader of the group visit to the junior high school. This was the first time that we did such a tour during forum week, and the Chuo members of the group were chosen at random by our teachers. Since this was the rst time to do this, I really had no idea what we should do in order that the junior high school students would enjoy the time with the students from abroad. I asked junior high schools students and the students in our group what they thought, and they gave me many ideas. Another student and one of my teachers helped me, long after the school day was over, to create the script in English for the visit. For the forum itself, I was given the task of operating the computer. I operated the computer for the presentations and stage performances. On the day of the rehearsal, we had problems connecting the laptop with the projector, I made a mistake with the music, and the students from abroad acted very freely, but thanks to the staff of Malios (where the forum was held) and our teachers, we did not have any major problems on the day of the forum.When I was a rst-year student, I thought that it would be a bother to be on the forum committee, but when I actually did it, I found out that this was not the case. I was able to get better at English because I had to communicate a lot with the students from abroad, and I was able to interact with people from other cultures. These were both great things for me. I want many other people to experience this event, which is unique to Morioka Chuo.I am grateful to everyone who helped me, and to my teachers for giving me this opportunity. ank you!　今年もまたCHUO国際教育フォーラムの時期がやってきた。私はこのイベントこそ“盛岡中央高校だからこそ”という感じがして、実行委員をやるようになってからこの時期が来るのがだんだん楽しみになっていた。　私はフォーラムウィーク中の企画「中学校訪問」の厨川中学校のリーダーを務めた。この企画の担当メンバーは先生たちによってランダムに選ばれ、前例のない中で行われた。リーダーを引き受けたのは良いものの、前例がないため、中学生はどんな企画があれば海外の留学生たちとのふれあいを楽しんでくれるかということにすごく頭を悩まされた。知り合いの中学生や厨川中学校訪問チームの人に相談すると、みんな一生懸命考えてくれて、案を出してくれた。当日はすべて英語で進めなければならなくて、原稿作りもしなければならず、笹原くんと幸恵先生が放課後遅くまで手伝ってくれた。当日はみんなのおかげで大成功を収めることが出来た。　フォーラム本番ではパソコン操作の仕事を任された。この仕事は、発表グループのパソコンや音源のセッティング、そして海外の生徒たちによるパフォーマンスで使用する音源の操作であった。リハの日、業者さんによるパソコンとプロジェクターの接続がうまくいかなかったり、自分のミスで音楽を間違ってしまったり、海外の生徒たちの自由さと、大変なことがたくさんあったが、マリオスのスタッフさんや一緒に仕事をしてくれた笹原くん、先生方のおかげで本番は大きなミスなく終えることが出来た。　私は１年生の頃、フォーラム実行委委員という仕事は面倒なものなのかとばかり思っていた。実際やってみると、そんな事はなかった。たくさんの海外の生徒とコミュニケーションを取らなければならないため、必然的に自身の英語力を向上させることができ、また、海外の文化を間近で感じることができ、自分にとってプラスとなることが多い経験であると強く思う。私は、盛岡中央高校でしかできないこの経験を１人でも多くの人にしてもらいたいと思う。　最後に、支えてくれたすべての人に、そしてこの機会をくださった先生方に感謝します。本当にありがとうございました。EXCELSIOR vol.1880
