Reports by Students of the Forum Committeebetter job and make the forum a real success.　来年度、フォーラム実行委員をやるかどうかはまだ決めていませんが、もしやることになったら、今回出た反省点をしっかりと修正して、来年こそ成功と呼べるものを作り上げたいです。成功させた中学校訪問Junior High School Visit２年Z１組　フォーラム実行委員武石　賢弥Kenya Takeishi :Student Forum CommitteeWe visited a junior high school with students from our sister schools on August 25. Our goal was to tell the students there about the forum and to interact with them.We started preparing for the visit one week before. Our plan was to ask the junior high school students about the countries where our sister schools are located, so we prepared a presentation in English about the flags, languages, lifestyle, and culture of each country. I was the emcee, so I practiced reading the script in English many times and worked on my pronunciation. A few days before the visit, everyone in our group was nervous. I think we were nervous because of our responsibility to lead the activities and to do it all in English. In addition, we were worried about whether the second-year students would get excited about the event. Since I was the emcee, I was personally worried about how to move things along smoothly, and whether I would be able to show the junior high school students that my English was at a higher level than that of junior high school students. On the day that we went to the junior high school, I felt even more nervous. After the rehearsal, the junior high school students came into the gym, and the event began. I did my best to pronounce the words in English and to get everyone excited. e junior high school students enjoyed it more than I expected, so I was able to relax. When I asked the students the questions, many hands went up, and I was surprised at how assertive junior high school students are. It was easy for me to continue. At the end of the event, I told the students about the Chuo forum. I don’t know how well I did, but I think that it was a good event. We also learned many things as presenters. I want to visit more junior high schools and to help make places near me more international.　私たちフォーラム実行委員は８月25日に姉妹校生徒と共に中学校訪問をした。目的は第18回CHUO国際フォーラムの宣伝と他国との交流を深めることだった。　私たちはこの貴重な会を成功させるために、１週間前から準備を行った。中学校訪問では中学生にクイズを出題し、姉妹校生徒の国々を知ってもらおうという計画だったので、それぞれの国に分担して国旗や言語、生活スタイルや文化を調査し、英語で発表する準備をした。　私は会の司会を任されたので、一生懸命発音を練習しながら何度も台本を読み、流れを把握しようとした。　訪問まで残り数日となると、自分だけではなく皆が緊張しているのが伝わった。すべて英語で話し、すべて自分たちで会を進めなければならないので、責任と不安が頭をよぎっていたと思う。また、中学校２年生が対象だったため、自分たちが上手く盛り上げても、一緒に盛り上がってくれるか心配だった。私は司会という大きな役割なので、いかに円滑に進行できるか、中学生と高校生の英語のレベルは違うという所を見せる事ができるのか、というプレッシャーを抱いていた。　中学校訪問当日、準備期間よりも更に大きな不安を抱いて北陵中学校に向かった。リハーサルの後、中学生が体育館に入り、会が幕を明けた。上手く発音ができているのかは別として、司会が盛り上げないと盛り上がらないと思い、台本通りに進行しつつ盛り上げた。予想以上に中学生も盛り上がってくれたので、発表側も進行側もリラックスすることができた。また、クイズを出題すると沢山の手が挙がり、中学生の積極性に驚いた。進行側もやりやすかった。　会の最後に、中学生に向けて国際フォーラムの宣伝をしてきた。上手く伝わっているかわからないが、良い会だったと思う。この会から中学生に伝えるだけでなく、自分たちも学ぶことが多かった。今後もこのように中学校訪問をし、身近なところから国際化していきたい。私がフォーラムで果たした役割EXCELSIOR vol.1886
