日本とフィンランドの森林の違いI learned about difference in the forests in Japan and FinlandWe studied about forestry on this trip to Finland. We went, with students from the Japanese class there, to the forest, a biomass plant, and to a facility where we could virtually experience working in a forest. Some things were very similar to Japan and some things were very dierent. First, about forests. ere are forests and lakes everywhere 　私たちは今回、フィンランドで森林について学んできました。フィンランドの森林を学ぶにあたって、私たちは今回、森や木質バイオマス発電所、林業の模擬体験ができる施設へ日本語クラスの皆さんと一緒に行きました。そこには、日本と似ている点、似ていない点がたくさんあったので、一つずつ書いていきたいと思います。２年SZ組　本間　朱莉Akari Homma : Studentwith special courses to educate forest technicians, and the students there learn how to use heavy machinery in the forests. is helps support Finland’s top-level forestry industry. This was a wonderful opportunity for our students to do fieldwork. The students also had a chance to learn about Finnish culture. They talked with their host families and friends, went to classes, learned Finnish language, and had a pre-Christmas party.In Japanese class, our students taught Japanese onomatopoeia using gestures. I think that these kinds of exchanges are good for our sister-school relationship, and I hope that they will continue. While there, I taught a class about the beginning of the universe. It was interesting to teach a class in English, which is a second language for both me, the teacher, and for the students.I did a homestay at the home of Ms.Varpu Kujala, who came to Japan for the 18th forum. I would like to thank her and her family for the wonderful time I had there. I am grateful for the opportunity to go on this trip. ank you.フィンランドの人々と森林の結びつきの強さの一面も見ることができた。そして何よりも、森林は皆の共有財産との意識があり、土地の所有者が誰であれ、きのこ・ベリー類・木の実などは誰でも自由に採ることができることには驚きを感じた。森林資源の活用の一つとして、木質バイオマス発電兼温水供給システムがラヤマキだけでも６カ所稼働中である。発電量を安定させるために化石燃料を使用することがあるにせよ、温室効果ガス排出量削減に積極的に取り組んでいる姿を見ることができた。　さらに、森林資源活用を産業として持続的に発展させるためには、それを維持するための人材が必要となる。フィンランドでは、林業技術を有する人材育成の専門教育コースを持つ学校があり、重機を活用した近代的な林業者を育成している。これが世界１位といわれるフィンランドの林業を支えている。　このように、生徒はすばらしいフィールドワークを体験することができた。　さて、文化面に関しても、生徒は大いに交流を深めることができていたと思う。ホストファミリー・バディ生徒との交流、授業への参加、フィンランド語基礎講座、プレクリスマスパーティーなど、本校生徒の興味関心を深める行事が多く用意されていた。　日本語クラスでは、「擬態語」が表す動作を本校の生徒が実演し、フィンランド生徒の日本語理解を深めるという授業が行われた。このような交流は、今後も是非続けることで、姉妹校としての意義を深めることの一助になるのではないかと思う。　今回の訪問では、宇宙のはじまりに関する授業を３時間もつことができた。互いに第２言語での授業というのも面白いものであると感じた。　また、私もホームステイをさせていただいた。第18回CHUO国際教育フォーラムで来日したVarup先生ご一家のご家庭であった。　とても心温まる日々を過ごさせていただいたことに深く感謝し、報告の結びとしたい。この機会をいただいたことに深く感謝します。ありがとうございました。EXCELSIOR vol.1896
