ExcelsiorExcelsiorとは、「優れた」、「気品のある」、「常に向上する（志向）」などを意味する。ラテン語で日本語ではエクセルシアと表記。Excelsiorはニューヨーク州の標語・モットーとなっており、ニューヨーク州旗のデザインにも文字が刻まれている。“Excelsior” has various meanings including: excellent, refined, always moving upwards. It is a Latin word.
