From Iwate to the world 岩手から世界へfeel the spirit of Miyazawa Kenji’s determination for life, his calmness and his love for all human beings. I was amazed at his compassionate and selfless dedication."Compassion 慈悲" is the foundation of Buddhism. "Mercy 慈" is a kindness to all beings and gives happiness."Sorrow 悲" is to mourn all beings and to eliminate suffering. I came to know that Miyazawa Kenji had used his wealth, knowledge, wisdom and words to help the weak, sick and fearful people to eliminate their inner fears. Such admirable gestures. 　　I also learned that Miyazawa Kenji wrote the poem “Strong in The Rain” when he was sick and bedridden. In his short life of 37 years, Miyazawa Kenji was a children storywriter, poet, teacher, farmer and agronomist. However, he was not very successful. His fairy tales and poems were not appreciated. He studied fertilizers, improved the soil, but his efforts produced a poor harvest due to the abnormal climate. The peasants blamed him and demanded for compensation. Despite the difficulties, confrontation and unfair treatment, Miyazawa Kenji was still optimistic, firm and fearless. He prayed, "I hope everyone can live strong", as he firmly believed that "the power of the wind and the cloud can come to everyone".　　On 11 March 2011, the Great East Japan Earthquake struck. The poem “Strong in The Rain” brought comfort to the victims who were traumatized, overcome with helplessness and misery. They could move forward bravely and had the strength to overcome the disaster. Famous Japanese writer Inoue Hisashi said: "Miyazawa Kenji's work itself is a Buddhist scripture, though the world is complex, but his prayers are pure and flawless."　　After the visit, Mr. Haruki Kawamura took us for a meal at the Restaurant Wildcat House. While waiting for our food, Mr. Kawamura took a Japanese fairy tale picture book from the shelf and the amiable Ms. Yuki flipped through the picture book and told us the story. We all listened with great fascination. The Restaurant of Many Orders is the first fairy tale 西家妈妈身体弱沉沉稻束我来担南家有人将过世过去叫他不要怕北家吵架闹哄哄劝说琐事莫相争 ……”　　第一次读这首诗，言简意赅的诗句触动了我，深深感受到宫泽贤治对生命坚定，从容和博爱众生的精神。我惊叹他慈悲的心怀和无私的奉献。“慈悲”是佛教的根本。“慈”是慈爱众生，给予快乐； “悲”是悲悯众生，排除痛苦。宫泽贤治用自己的财富、知识、智慧和言语来帮助体弱病痛、恐惧困苦的人消除内心的各种恐惧。他这种行为真令人钦佩。　　《不怕风雨》这首诗，是宫泽贤治久病卧床，苦闷不堪的时候写的。在宫泽贤治三十七年的短暂生命中，他当过童话作家，诗人，教师和农艺改革家， 可都一事无成 。他的童话和诗没有人欣赏，他研究肥料，改善土壤，最后因反常的气候导致歉收，农民怪罪他，要他赔偿。虽然遇到困境，面对打击和不平对待，但宫泽贤治依然乐观、坚定和不惧畏，还祷告“愿每个人都能坚强地生活下去”，坚信“风和云的力量能够降临到每一个人”。　　2011 年 3 月 11 日发生了东日本大地震，《不怕风雨》这首诗给在无助苦难中，心灵受创的灾民送上抚慰，使他们积极迈步向前，拥有战胜灾难的力量。著名日本作家井上厦说：“宫泽贤治的作品本身就是佛经，世情复杂万象，但他的祈祷却纯净无瑕。 ”　　参观了宫泽贤治纪念馆，川村晴树先生带我们到附近的“山猫轩餐厅”用 餐。等待之际，川村晴树先生从书架上拿了一本日本童话绘本，和蔼可亲的林雪贞老师一边翻阅绘本，一边讲起了故事。故事的情节引人入胜，我们都听得津津有味。《要求特别多的餐厅》是我接触宫泽贤治的身にとても感動しました。　「慈悲」とは仏教の基盤です。「慈」はすべての人に注がれる優しさと幸せを表します。「悲」はすべての人を悼む心と、苦しみの排除を表します。彼の富、知識、知恵、言葉が、弱者、病人、おびえた人々を助け、恐怖心を取り除いてくれたことを知りました。なんと立派な行いでしょうか。　また「雨ニモ負ケズ」を書いたのは、彼が病気で寝たきりの時であったことを知りました。37年という短い人生の中で、童話作家、詩人、教師、農家、農学者として生き抜きました。しかしながら、彼が生きているうちは成功を収めることはできず、彼の童話と詩は良い評価を得られませんでした。土の改良のために肥料を研究し製造しましたが、過去に例を見ない悪天候で不作の年となり、小作農民たちは彼を責め、賠償を求めました。そんな対立や不当な扱いを経験してもなお、賢治は前向きで、勇敢でありました。彼は「みんなが強く生きてほしい」と祈りました。彼は風からも雲からも新しい力がみんなに湧くことを強く信じていました。　2011年３月11日に東日本大震災が発生しました。「雨ニモ負ケズ」の詩は、心に深く傷を負った被災者たちの無力で惨めな気持ちを癒しました。被災者たちは勇敢に前へ進み、この災害に立ち向かう勇気を得ました。有名な日本の作家、井上ひさしはこう言っています。「宮沢賢治の作品そのものが、この複雑な世界においても経典であり、彼の祈りは純粋で欠点がない」と。　記念館を訪問後、川村部長が山猫軒での食事に招いて下さいました。注文を待っている間、川村部長が本棚から賢治の絵本を取り出し、親切にも林雪貞先生が絵本をめくり、説明して下さいました。私は夢中になって聞き入りました。「注文の多い料理店」は宮沢賢治の初の童話作品だと聞かされ、川村部長は絵本を手に取り、この作品が自然と調和しているEXCELSIOR vol.20 ◆ CHUO国際教育フォーラム20回記念号99
