挨　拶Continuing to Improve the Content and Management of the ForumMasaharu TatsuzawaChairman Tatsuzawa Education Groupフォーラム運営の充実と改善を目指して ― 第20回記念大会を終えて ―学校法人 龍澤学館　理事長　龍澤　正美GREETINGS　　As you know, we had a fantastic 20th Anniversary Forum on August 30 of last year in the Morioka Civic Cultural Hall “Malios” near Morioka Station. The theme of this forum was “An ideal school. In 2030 – Transforming our world using the SDGs”, and we looked at the issues from various points of view. I think that we achieved a certain level of success. 　　One of the events was a teachers’ roundtable discussion, where the teachers present looked at how to develop students’ interdisciplinary perspectives. This was a new event at the forum, and we asked Professor Toshiaki Komatsu from Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology to take on the important role of facilitator of the discussion. It was attended by teachers from our school and from our sister schools, and the discussion was very beneficial. In order to continue to improve the content of the forum and stage management, I would like to ask all of the participants at the forum to give us your ideas about the event, without reservation.　　This series of forums has been a great success thanks to the initiative and hard work of all of the students and teachers from each participating school. This is a great joy for us as organizers of the forum. We have made, for the first time, a 140-minute memorial DVD to record the 20th Forum. We will present this DVD to those who were involved in the forum, to show our appreciation for your support of the forum over the years.　　As of January 2019, our school has 25 sister schools. Our newest sister school is Impington Village College, which is a secondary school in Cambridge, England. We signed a sister school agreement with this school last October, and teachers and students from this school will attend the 21st Forum on Saturday, August 31.　　The students at our junior high school also participated in the forum – which as far as I know is unlike what any other school in Japan or the world is doing – as part of our international understanding program. In April of this year, a new group of students will start to study at our junior high school. Eight of our sister schools also have combined junior and senior high schools, and we are promoting education in which students love Morioka, Iwate, and Japan, and “have big aspirations, and go out into the world”. 　　In conclusion, we would like to reach out to our global network to ask for your advice about and support for the CHUO Forum to make it even better in the future.　ご承知のとおり、昨年８月30日、記念すべき第20回盛岡中央高校国際教育フォーラムが、盛岡駅前マリオス大ホールにて盛大に開催されました。　「世界を変えるための理想の学校づくり」という遠大なテーマでしたが、それぞれの立場で課題に向き合って、一定の成果が得られたと存じます。　特に今回は「学際的な視点の育て方」というテーマで教員研修会を開催しました。新たな試みとして、小松俊明先生（東京海洋大学教授＝グローバル教育専攻）にファシリテーターの大役をお願いし、本校教員も多数出席して、海外姉妹校ゲスト教員の皆様とともに、非常に有意義な研鑽を積むことができました。これを機に、今後もフォーラムの内容充実とステージ運営のさらなる改善に努めて参りますので、関係者の忌憚のないご意見とご提案をお願いする次第です。　これら一連のフォーラム関係行事等は、全校生徒・教職員の主体的な活動と協同作業をもって、おかげさまで無事に予定通り成功裡に幕を閉じました。このことは私ども主催者にとって、大きな喜びでございます。それと共に「第20回記録映像」として長く歴史に残す目的で、約130分の記念DVD（＝映像教材）を初めて制作いたしました。ご指導ご協力を賜った関係各位には、本校から贈呈することにしておりますが、本誌上から長年にわたるご支援に対し、改めて深く感謝申し上げる次第でございます。　2019年１月現在、本校の国際姉妹校は25校です。昨年10月、英国ケンブリッチ地区にある名門校インピントン・ビレッジ・カレッジ中学高等学校と姉妹校提携を結び、新たな仲間が１校加わりました。早速、第21回目のフォーラム（＝８月31日・土）から、同校の校長先生と生徒さんが参加しますので、読者の皆さんにお知らせしておきます。　これまで20年の長きにわたり、私の知る限りでは、日本にも世界にも例を見ない、盛岡の私立高等学校の国際理解教育の一行事に、今回からは中学生（盛岡中央高校附属中学校＝2018年４月開校）も参加してのフォーラムとなったことを改めて報告しておきます。今春４月、第２回目の入学生を迎える龍澤学館の創立した「中高一貫６年型」中学校には既に８校の国際姉妹校がありますが、「大志をもって、世界と未来に羽ばたこう！」という理念のもとに、盛岡、岩手、そして日本を愛する心の教育を推進しております。　最後になりましたが、これら世界五大陸の教育ネットワークを今後も活用して、さらに内容豊富な充実したCHUOフォーラムの実現に、今後とも邁進して参りたく、関係各位の一層のご指導とご鞭撻をお願い申し上げます。EXCELSIOR vol.20104
