今年第20回を迎えたフォーラム、これまでの参加者はその後どのような人生を歩んでいるのでしょうか？ What life have the participants of the Forum spend?How theCHUO Forum Changed Me私を変えたフォーラム　　My name is Ahmad Rizky Pratama. I’m from Indonesia. I graduated from Dwiwarna High School in 2018 and currently attending Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University as a freshman. I went to Morioka and participated in 19th Chuo International Forum in 2017. It was a marvelous experience. During my stay in Morioka, I lived with Kishin’s family. I was surprised that they quickly warmed up to me. I learned a lot of Japanese verbs and grammars during my stay. Sometimes I tried to speak Japanese, but I wasn’t fluent at that time, so I mostly switch from Japanese to English back and forth. 　　I think that the experience I’ve gained during the forum helps me a lot, especially now that I have to live in Japan for 4 years to come. Living with a Japanese family, even for a short time gives me rough ideas of how 日本の生活 (livelihood in Japan) feels like. Meeting students from around the world during the forum also gave me a better understanding of how people can relate to each other, even when there’s language barrier obstructing them. It also gave me an insight of how people from other country living their life, and how they deal with problems. To put it simply, it broadens my perspective. 　　In conclusion, it was a stepping stone for me to learn how to live harmoniously with people from another culture. By supporting and understanding each other, we all can live side by side no matter where you from or what cultural background you have. In this age of globalization, tolerance is the ultimate key to solve a problem and by learning how to tolerate others, we are contributing to a better civilization and to a better future.　私はアフマド・リツキ・プラタナです。インドネシア出身で、2018年にドゥイワーナ高校を卒業し、今は立命館アジア太平洋大学の１年生です。盛岡への訪問は2017年の第19回CHUO国際教育フォーラムに参加した時でした。本当に素晴らしい経験になりました。盛岡滞在中はきしん君の家にお世話になりました。私の日本語学習の準備運動をしてくれました。滞在中にたくさんの動詞と文法を勉強しました。その当時、日本語は流暢ではありませんでしたが、会話にも挑戦しました。しかし、日本語を話してはすぐに英語で話しての繰り返しでした。　フォーラム期間中の経験は私の支えになっています。特に、これからの日本での４年間の生活にとっては大きな助けになります。短い時間ではありましたが、日本のファミリーと過ごしたことは、日本の生活がどのようなものかを教えてくれました。また、世界中の人との出会いも、言葉の壁がある者同士の互いの関わり方への理解を深めてくれました。そして他地域の生活と、それぞれの問題への向き合い方を垣間見ることができました。簡単に言いますと、私の視野を広めてくれました。　フォーラムは異なる文化を持つ人々との円滑な交流について学ぶきっかけとなりました。互いを支え合い、理解することで、国や文化の違いにかかわらず、寄り添いながら共に生活していけるでしょう。グローバル時代において、寛容性は問題を解決する一番のカギとなるでしょう。私たちが他人への尊重を学んでいき、より良い社会、そしてより良い未来に貢献することができるでしょう。As opportunities tobroaden my horizons視野を広げるきっかけにAhmad Rizky PratanaRitsumeikanAsia PacificUniversity立命館アジア太平洋大学EXCELSIOR vol.20 ◆ CHUO国際教育フォーラム20回記念号117
