　　“The CHUO International Education Forum” is an exciting event which gives us courage every year. Last year’s forum was really amazing. The year has gone by fast, and now we are at the Forum again. “The 20th CHUO International Education Forum” is an important milestone for Morioka Chuo High School. 　　The theme of this year’s furum is “An Ideal school in 2030-Transforming our world”, and it is based on the SDG’s(Sustainable Development Goals) which were adopted at the United Nations Summit. We have divided the students into ve groups, and each group will make a presentation. Let’s use this opportunity to think about what kind of educational environment our children should have in the future.　　 As you know, there are a lot of children in the world who do not receive a good education. Fortunately, we live in peaceful and wealthy country, so we can be educated in a great educational environment. The purpose of us learning is not just to achieve our own personal goals. Please remember to give back to society too. 　　I hope the students from our sister schools and from Chuo will be “signposts to the future”, as they go beyond differences in their countries, religions and languages.　　Also, I would like you to create a better world by using the dynamic ideas which only high school students have. 　　I hope this forum will get you to start thinking about your ideal school. 　　I was worried about being the student leader of the 20th forum, but fortunately I am surrounded by many assertive and reliable friends, so I have been able to do this job. I am so happy to see all of you here today. 　　In conclusion, it is a great honor to welcome everyone from our sister schools. I am delighted that we are able to hold this wonderful forum. I am deeply grateful to everyone who has helped to put on the 20th International Education Forum. Thank you.　「ＣＨＵＯ国際教育フォーラム」は毎年、会場に勇気と大きな感動を与えてくれます。昨年のフォーラムも非常に素晴らしいものでした。そこから早や一年、再びこの日がやってきました。長年国際理解教育に力を入れてきた盛岡中央高校にとって、今年の「第20回ＣＨＵＯ国際教育フォーラム」は大きな節目となります。　今年は、「2030年理想の学校-世界を変えるために」というテーマと、国連サミットで採択されたＳＤＧｓの17の目標を骨格として、グループで発表してもらいます。将来、自分たちの子供がどのような教育現場で教育を受けるべきか、この機会を利用して考えてみましょう。　皆様もご存じのとおり、世界には満足な教育を受けることができない子供たちがたくさんいます。幸運なことにも、私たちは平和で裕福な国で暮らし、素晴らしい環境下で教育を受けることができます。私たちが現在学んでいることは、個人の目標を達成するためだけのものではありません。「社会へ還元する」という、もう一つの側面があることを忘れないで欲しいと思います。　世界中から集まった姉妹校の生徒たちと中央生には、国や言語、文化の隔たりを超え、「未来への道しるべ」となって欲しいと思います。そして、高校生にしかないダイナミックな発想を利用して、今後の世界をより良いものにして欲しいと期待しています。　記念すべき20回目のフォーラムで大役を引き受けたものの、自分に務まるのか不安でしたが、積極性があり頼りがいのある仲間たちに支えられ、この日を迎えることができました。そして、最後に「第20回目のＣＨＵО国際教育フォーラム」を盛大に開催できることをうれしく思うとともに、このフォーラムに携わったすべての方々に心から感謝申し上げます。Signposts to the FutureHaruki SugataChairperson of the 20th CHUO International Education Forum Student Organizing Committee未来への道しるべフォーラム実行委員長　特進Ｚコース３年　菅田　春樹EXCELSIOR vol.20 ◆ CHUO国際教育フォーラム20回記念号11
