experience, studying simply meant sitting on a chair and looking at books. Through this experience, I realized that it was not enough. There are many things I cannot learn only from books. 　　First of all, in this program, I could broaden my knowledge about the world. Making new friends, within a new environment, introduced new cultures to me. I realized that there's no border in making friends. I lived with a new family whom I couldn't communicate with well because of language differences, but realized that friendship can start from real interaction from the bottom of two hearts despite of the all the barriers. As time went on, however, we became unforgettable friends to each other. Living together, we gradually appreciated and respected each other, and finally we could share feelings and affections you could have in a real family! I’m sure it was the same case with other friends who participated in the forum. 　　I had been nervous and worried about adapting to new things. But thanks to my experiences in Morioka, I could overcome these concerns. Thanks for allowing me those wonderful days, Morioka. I will never forget them.　８月26日から９月３日まで貴重な時間を過ごしました。今までは勉強するということは、椅子に座り、本を読むことだと思っていましたが、この経験を通し、それでは不十分で、本からでは学べないことが沢山あることに気づきました。　フォーラムを通して、世界に関する知識を広げられました。新しい友人を新しい環境でつくり、新しい文化に触れました。友情に国境はないと気がつきました。言語の違いがあり、ホストファミリーとうまくコミュニケーションをとれませんでした。しかし、あらゆる障害に反して、心を込めて交流すれば、友情は芽生えるものだということを知りました。時がたち、忘れがたい友人になりました。一緒に住むことで、互いを尊敬し、本当の家族のような愛情を覚えました。参加した他の友人も同様の体験をしたと思います。　新しいことを取り入れることに不安や緊張を覚えていましたが、盛岡での経験で、この問題を乗り越えられました。素晴らしい日々をありがとうございました。この経験を決して忘れることはないでしょう。　　I will never forget my visit to Morioka, for the 20th Chuo International forum. When I arrived at Chuo, I was anxious to meet other international students. I thought the difference of cultures might cause problems, but I was totally wrong. We may have different religions, languages, and skin colours, but I realized that we all belong to one human race. 　　We participated in various activities with other students, but the most memorable event was the cultural performances. All the international students prepared presentations to show their culture. The opening act was a traditional Japanese dance with wooden hand drums. The traditional dance showed excellent teamwork, and was addictive to watch. After that, other international students performed. Every act was so amazing I could feel their traditions and culture right away. 　　When it was our turn to dance K-pop, we worried so much that we might make mistakes and afraid they might not know about K-pop. We went up on the stage, and introduced our songs by ‘Twice’ and 'AOA'. The audience reacted very positively. Many people knew about K-pop and we noticed some people dancing with us. After we performed, we were full of happiness, showing the power of culture. That moment was unforgettable. I can’t express how thankful I am for this opportunity..　盛岡への訪問を忘れることはないでしょう。他の国からの参加者に会うことを不安に思っていました。文化の違いが問題になると考えていました。しかし、そんな考えは間違で、宗教、言語、肌の色を異にしていても、一つの同じ人類に属しているのだということに気がつきました。　様々な活動に参加しましたが、最も記憶に残っているのは、伝統芸能の披露です。それぞれの文化を紹介する出し物を準備しました。最初の演目は、さんさ踊りで盛岡の伝統的な踊りでした。チームワークが良く、目が釘付けになりました。他の生徒たちも披露しましたが、すべて素晴らしく、その国の伝統や文化に触れることができました。　私たちのK-popを披露するとき、間違うのではないか、知らないのではないかと心配しました。「Twice」と「AOA」をいう歌を披露しましたが、観客の反応は良く、多くの人がK-popを知っていて踊っている人もPark YejinStudent生徒Chuo, the Cultural Stage中央高校：文化の舞台EXCELSIOR vol.2046
