round table discussion is held. This is an opportunity for international educators to come together and discuss a topic related to education. The theme this year was: How to develop high school student’s “interdisciplinary perspectives”? This saw participants consider how various academic disciplines could be utilised and combined to teach a lesson. This session was facilitated by Professor Toshiaki Komatsu.　　First, Professor Komatsu gave a presentation which introduced us to the interdisciplinary approach. We were then shown a short video about an ongoing mangrove reforestation project in Thailand. This would be our discussion topic. We were asked to consider how we would teach this topic through use of multiple disciplinaries. 　　At first we worked as individuals. Then we were able to share our ideas with each other. Finally, we worked in groups to combine our ideas and create a lecture plan that aims to teach the topic by utilising two or more academic disciplines. To finish, each group chose a speaker to present their group’s lecture plan to all participants. Through this exercise we were able to consider the benefits of approaching a topic from an interdisciplinary perspective and were able to hear the ideas of educators from a range of educational and cultural backgrounds. It was a beneficial experience for all involved.　毎年フォーラム開催期間中に教員研修会が開かれます。海外の教育者たちが集まり、教育に関するテーマをもとに討論が繰り広げられます。今年のテーマは、「高校生の“学際的なモノの見方”を育成するには」でした。この学際的な学習方法を複数の科目へ取り入れる方法と、その授業設計を参加者たちは議論しました。この討論会は、小松俊明教授をファシリテーターに迎えて行われました。　初めに、小松教授から学際的アプローチについてご説明いただきました。その中で、タイのマングローブ林の崩壊に関する短いビデオがあり、このプロジェクトをケースとして、複数の科目に活用する方法を話し合うようにご指示いただきました。　初めに参加者が個々に考えたのちに、グループ内でそれぞれのアイディアを紹介し、最後に、グループ内でそれぞれの意見をもとに、複数の科目へこのプロジェクトを利用する授業プランを検討しまとめました。まとめた案は、各グループ内で発表者を決定し、全てのグループの前でプレゼンテーションを行いました。　この討論会を通して、学際的アプローチのメリットについて話し合うことができ、教育的、文化的背景が異なる教育者たちからのそれぞれの意見を交換できる機会となりました。参加したすべての人にとって有意義な機会となったことでしょう。was impressed by it.
