Chairman Tatsuzawa, Principal Chiba, distinguished guests, teachers, students, ladies and gentlemen, Good Morning!It is exhilarating to be here for the 21st CHUO International Education Forum. I want to congratulate all staff at CHUO for the success. It is great to see so many faces and smiles. CHUO has strived to strengthen the quality of teaching and learning, and allowing students to have wider exposure through interaction with the international community. I admire Chairman Tatsuzawa for his vision 20 years ago to hold a forum where teachers and students from all over the world gather together to learn more about one another. This Forum has contributed enormously to the formulation of understanding, insight, and wisdom about the larger world. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Chairman Tatsuzawa and the management and staff of CHUO for their dedicated efforts in offering this program. This is my first time in Morioka. It is truly a great honor and a privilege to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the partnership between our institutions. On behalf of UKN, I extend my most sincere thanks to Chairman Tatsuzawa, Principal Chiba, Mr. Takahiro Saiki and all of the teachers and staff of CHUO that have helped to make this partnership an enormous success. This splendid partnership has brought enormous benets to both of our institutions. Our students have shared ideas and learned from each other’s perspectives. Extraordinary strong personal bonds have linked members of our institutions. Our collaboration has profoundly and positively affected the lives of many students and teachers of both institutions by providing an opportunity for growth and learning. 10 years ago, a relationship formed between our institutions, and today I am delighted to be here to reaffirm our continuing partnership. I am confident that the partnership between our institutions will continue to thrive for many more decades. And to CHUO, I extend UKN’s best wishes for continued success in nurturing coming generations of students to become contributing members of the community.
