During this 9-day study trip, I feel myself utterly fascinated with the colourful culture in Japan. One of my most impressive experiences was the visit to Morioka Hachiman Shrine, where we had Japanese Tea ceremony and Kimono Experience. I was surprised to see the whole process of making and drinking tea, which helped me understand more of the spirit of Japanese culture. We also joined in the Wanko-soba Noodle competition, and I was lucky to have the other two kinds of famous noodles in Morioka with my homestay family.Thank you so much to have us in this forum! It's my pleasure to follow the theme"Think globally and act locally", trying my best to share my ideas and hoping to transform the world with our joint effort as well as lost in Morioka and Japanese culture. The Chuo Forum 2019 has been a memorable experience. Every day I experienced something new and mesmerizing. Morioka itself is a beautiful city with beautiful people. I have always heard about the humbleness of Japanese people but having this opportunity to be in Japan itself is a different experience altogether. I have learnt so much about its culture and people. One memorable experience which I would like to share is the Tea Ceremony. The tea ceremony is so traditionally done with patience and love. Firstly, we were asked to sit in a correct manner on the oor which I found difcult to stay long. Then, a girl in kimono served us with some cute looking mochi. What I found amazing here was each of us were served individually by different people and bowing was taking place every time. Then the tea ceremony began and this elegant lady in kimono prepared the Matcha tea in a precise manner which included scooping the Matcha powder into the cup and stirring with a wooden whisk which I found was too delicate.
