around the world. We shared many unique experiences together. This mixture between school-related activities and recreational ones enabled us to learn much more about the rest of the cultures. Not only we learnt about different aspects of their country but also got closer to their habits and ways of living. In my opinion, I believe the most meaningful thing we got to experience week was visiting the Iwate Food Bank. After analysing most countries’ situation in relation to hunger and malnutrition, our group was taken to the county’s food bank. There, we learnt about the process of food donation and the way it’s administrated. We helped in carrying donations from the city hall and labelling them according to the expiration date. By witnessing the collossal amount of food that is donated and nding out how much of it is wasted otherwise, I realised how important it is to do something in order to help. This experience made me rethink the way in which I spend money and it inspired me to take action in my own country. In conclusion, I’m beyond thankful for the chance of having this mind-blowing experience. Travelling to Japan has been life-changing. フォーラムに参加できたことは、名誉なことであるだけでなく、特別なことでした。世界中から来た人々と交流し、彼らから学ぶ機会となりました。ユニークな体験を分かち合うことができました。この半分授業と関係があり、半分レクリエーションのようでもある複合した体験によって、文化について様々なことを学ぶことができました。日本文化の様々なことを知るだけでなく、日本人の習慣や生き方というものにまで触れることができました。個人的な意見としては、もっとも印象深かったのは、岩手フードバンクを訪問したことでした。飢餓と栄養失調に悩まされている多くの国々について学んだ後、私たちのグループは県のフードバンクに行きました。そこで、食料がどのようにして寄付され、フードバンクがどのように運営されているかについて学びました。私たちは市から寄付された食料を運ぶ手伝いをし、賞味期限を参照にしてラベル張りの手伝いもしました。膨大な量の寄付された食料を見て、食料がどれほど無駄に捨てられているのかということを知り、食料を有効活用するために行動することは重要なのだということに気が付きました。この体験を通して私は、自分のお金の使い方について考え直し、自分の国でも行動を起こそうという気持ちになりました。最後に、想像を超えるほど、すばらしい体験ができたことに対して、これ以上感謝できないほどです。日本への旅行は私の人生を変えるようなものでした。My memory of this journey paints in my mind a picture of myself wearing yukata and having green tea with petal shaped pastry. I vividly remember walking along the streets and admiring the magnificent red brick building. This building is reminiscent of one that we have in Taiwan, because they were designed by the same architect, Mr. Tatsuno Kingo. This interesting connection has deepened my affection for Morioka. During the forum, it was impressive to see these students overcome language and cultural barriers in their discussions. The teachers were able to exchange teaching circumstances and experiences. This helped me to reflect on the teaching method and urged me to make some adjustments.This forum included many actual visits, which gave an in-depth understanding of the educational status and social situation of Japan. Although I have been to Japan twice, I felt like I have not truly known Japan before. Attending this event is a lifetime experience for me.
